Parent Teacher Organization
Volunteering with the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an invaluable way to support the quality educational experience at Black Butte School. All families are welcomed and encouraged to participate! Meetings are held monthly and volunteers are needed at various events throughout the school year.
PTO President: Koli Williams-Anderson, ptopresident@blackbutte.k12.or.us
PTO Secretary: McKenzie Ruckman, ptosecretary@blackbutte.k12.or.us
PTO Treasurer: Open position
The PTO serves three main purposes:
1) Enrich the student experience at school by raising funds to support: field trips, celebrations and special events, teacher appreciation gifts, activities and supplies to enhance the classroom experience, and additional needs not included in the school budget.
2) Build connection among families, as well as foster engagement between students and the community through events, service projects, and environmental stewardship.
3) Volunteer at school to support teachers in the organization of activities, school trips, parties, and special projects.
