Admissions
In-district. All students living within the Black Butte School District (BBSD) boundaries (‘resident students’) may attend Black Butte School. Students in grades 7-12 may enroll at Sisters Middle or High Schools under a BBSD and Sisters School District (SSD) tuition agreement contract. For students attending Sisters Middle School or Sisters High School, BBSD will remain the student's residing district with SSD serving as the attending district. ‘Resident students’ who attend Sisters Middle School or Sisters High School may also be eligible for supplemental services provided by BBSD, including among other items, reimbursement of pay-to play fees, college counseling and college testing preparation courses.
Please complete the 2018-19 student enrollment form linked at the bottom and return to the Head Teacher. Please also bring a copy of the student’s immunization records at the time of enrollment.

Out-of-district. BBSD does accept transfer students from outside of the district. Currently there is a waitlist for out-of-district students. If there is a place for your child to attend Black Butte School, permission from the resident school district superintendent is necessary. Once the residing district has approved a transfer it is valid for all the years the student attends BBSD. The request must then be presented to the BBSD Head Teacher for consideration and approval.
BBSD may deny regular school admission to a student who is expelled from another school district and who subsequently becomes a resident of the district or who applies for admission to the district as a nonresident student. The District may revoke transfers for not meeting behavior requirements or meeting attendance standards. A transfer cannot be revoked for academic reasons.
If you require any additional information or are interested in putting a student on the waitlist please call Head Teacher, Delaney Sharp, 541.595.6203 or dsharp@blackbutte.k12.or.us.
